(Hydrous Amoxicilina, clavulanato of potassium) THERAPEUTIC INDICATIONS: CLAVULIN 12h is indicated in bacterial infections when they are caused by sensible organisms to the amoxicilina/clavulanato: Infections of the respiratory tract superior: Tonsilitis appellant, sinusitis, average otitis, typically caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis, Streptococcus pyogenes and Staphylococcus aureus. Infections of the respiratory tract inferior: Exacerbaciones acute of chronic bronchitis, pneumonia to lobular and bronchopneumonia, typically caused by Streptococcus pneumoniae, Haemophilus influenzae, Moraxella catarrhalis and Staphylococcus aureus. Infections of bones and joints: Osteomyelitis typically caused by Staphylococcus aureus, where one more a prolonged therapy can be appropriate. CLAVULIN 12h is effective against sensible and resistant bacteria to the amoxicilina due to the clavulanato association of amoxicilina. The clavulanato works like inhibitor of betalactamasas.
