Side effects of Aciphex

Aciphex: Dosage

Aciphex 20 mg is taken orally (preferably in the morning, before breakfast), 1 time/24 hours. The optimal daily dosage is 20 mg.

If there is no effect within the first three days, the patient should consult a physician. The maximum course of therapy (not including counseling) is 2 weeks.

Aciphex vs. Nexium

Nexium is a healing medication that is used for gastric ulcers caused by uncontrolled use of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Aciphex is prescribed for excruciating heartburn and sour belching. Nexium can be taken for quite a long time – up to 4 weeks (in the dosages specified in the instructions for the drug). The maximum duration of treatment with Aciphex is 14 days. Nexium can also be taken to prevent peptic ulcers.

The opposite effect is also possible: when drinking alcohol at the same time, the drug provokes the development of new ulcers – that is, it does not cure in this case but contributes to the exacerbation of existing diseases. This does not happen with a single simultaneous consumption of alcohol, but with regular abuse.
