What is Dorixina?

Dorixina tablets of 125 and Dorixina 250 mg Lysine Clonixinate in boxes of 10, 20 or 30. They are made under the brand names Dorixina and Dorixina Forte.
Combined tablets 125 mg Lysine Clonixinate with 25 mg Tramadol or 5 mg Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride. Also contains 250 mg of Lysine Clonixinate plus 50 mg of Diclofenac sodium. It is sold in boxes of 14, 20, or 30 pieces. They are manufactured under the brand names Dorixina Relax, Dorixina-Flam and Dorixina-TMR.
What is Dorixina used for?
Lysine Clonixine is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug, by its mechanism of action it is mainly analgesic and to a lesser extent has antipyretic activity.
This drug inhibits the synthesis of prostaglandins in peripheral tissues by inhibiting the activity of the Cyclooxygenase enzyme. Prostaglandins play an important role in inflammation, pain, and fever.
Dorixina dosage
Adults (over 18 years of age):
125 mg to 250 mg up to four times a day, depending on the intensity of the pain, up to a maximum of 750 mg of Clonixin Lysin per day.
Renal insufficiency:
As with all anti-inflammatory drugs, it should be prescribed with caution in patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
Patients over 65 years of age:
As with all anti-inflammatory drugs, it should be prescribed with caution in elderly patients because renal, hepatic, or cardiovascular dysfunction may occur.
The tablets should be swallowed whole without breaking or chewing, washed down with a glass of liquid, preferably water and preferably with a meal.
The duration of treatment depends on the type of pain, intensity and progression of the disease. If the pain persists for more than 10 days, the clinical situation should be evaluated.
Dorixina for tooth pain
In tooth pain, the drug is used 125-250 mg up to 3 times a day.
Dorixina: side effects
The use of Dorixina medicine causes few side effects. Depending on the composition used, they may be increased by another active ingredient. In general, the main ones are:
Digestive system - nausea, dry mouth, abdominal pain, vomiting and gastritis.
Central nervous system - dizziness and drowsiness.
During the use of the drug, skin side effects may occur, like burning, redness, or a sensation of heat at the application site.
Other less frequent side effects include minor intestinal bleeding, fever, lack of appetite, pharyngitis, and allergic reactions.

Contraindications
- Patients with active peptic ulcer disease.
- Patients with severe renal failure.
- Patients with a greater tendency to gastrointestinal bleeding.
- Children under 12 years of age.
- Allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients of the drug. Do not use in people who are allergic to Lysine Clonixinate or Aspirin.
Dorixina should not be used during pregnancy unless the benefit exceeds the risk, as there are no studies to guarantee the safety of the drug during pregnancy, so it should be avoided.
Interactions
Alcohol. Nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs are aggressive to the digestive system, which may be aggravated by an irritant such as alcohol.
Do not use with Aspirin, Triclopidine, Heparin, and others, depending on the specific dosage form.
