Triderm Cream

Triderm Cream 25g is indicated for the relief of inflammatory manifestations of dermatoses responsive to steroids, complicated by a secondary infection caused by organisms sensitive to the components of this dermatologic preparation or suspected the possibility of such infection.

Triderm Cream contains the following active ingredients:

• Betamethasone dipropionate 0.64 mg

• Indistinguishable 0.5 mg of betamethasone Clotrimazole 10 mg

• Gentamicin sulfate corresponding to 1.0 mg

The indications for Triderm Cream

Triderm Cream (Ointment) is used for:

1. Dermatosis, sensitive to corticosteroid therapy.

2. Bacterial and fungal infections that were caused by microorganisms sensitive to the active components of the drug.

How to use Triderm Cream

Betamethasone dipropionate has anti-inflammatory, bacterial Gentamicin sulfate, and Clotrimazole – antimycotic action. The three ingredients have a synergistic effect on inflammation.

Triderm Cream is applied directly on the affected area or adjacent areas of skin 2 times a day. RUB with caution. Duration of treatment depends on the patient's response to treatment. In some cases treatment may be necessary within one month.

Contraindications

From the side of musculoskeletal system: osteoporosis .

Interaction with other drugs

Clotrimazole with local application may be an antagonist of Amphotericin b and other polyene antibiotics.

Overdose

Long-term use of local glucocorticosteroids or their use in high doses may oppression of the pituitary-adrenal system, the development of secondary adrenal insufficiency, hypercortisolism, Cushing's disease. It is also worth noting that growth is possible insensitive to the drug bacteria during treatment.

In case of overdose GCS cancel the drug. Correction of water-electrolyte balance.  In the case of growth of fungi and microorganisms insensitive to Triderm Cream, other antifungal and antibacterial therapy are prescribed.
